Today: primaries in Labor party

Today 48,000 members of the Labor party will vote on the list for Knesset in the upcoming election. Labor already has Isaac Herzog locked in as party chairman and he will occupy the 1st spot on the list while Hatnuah chairwoman Tzipi Livni will occupy the 2nd spot.

While some will probably be content with merely gaining a realistic spot on the list, party heavyweights such as Eitan Cabel, Meirav Michaeli, Shelly Yachimovich and Erel Margalit are hoping to place high enough on the list that they will be offered a Ministry in the event Labor wins the election.

Polls have shown Labor gaining between 24-20 seats in the election with the latest poll showing them at 23 seats.
