David Tzur quits Hatenua

MK David Tzur has resigned from Hatenua. In a meeting with party chairperson Tzipi Livni, Tzur says he supports the merger with the Labor party and hopes other parties from the center left join in order to enable a viable alternative to the Likud.

Tzur is the second MK to resign from the six member faction after Elazar Stern resigned last week. Tzur, however, is leaving the party on good terms, as opposed to Stern who criticized the merger with the Labor party before resigning.
