Livni gets six spots on Labor’s list plus one subject to Herzog’s approval

The Labor Party announced today that Tzipi Livni will be able to place six MKs in spots that are thought to be “realistic” on Labor’s Knesset list.

Besides her own spot on Labor’s list as #2, Labor has agreed to let her pick the MK for spots 8, 16, 21 24 and 25. In addition, the 11th spot is to be appointed by Tzipi Livni although it is subject to approval by Isaac (Buji) Herzog.

Shaul Mofaz, head of Kadima and former IDF Chief of Staff, is rumored to be in the running for this 11th spot as Labor is looking to add at least one “security personality” after not having any generals on their list in the previous electoral ballot.
